Black economy is going to get even bigger, I wonder at what point it would pay to register for vat?

The VAT refund to unregistered farmers should go up to compensate, in theory anyway......

Its on all goods and services that were at 21%. Cant help thinking we are on a downward spiral with a quarter of what we buy after tax going on tax again:(

If a lad was spending €20k, on a decent second hand tractor, the 2% extra adds €400, if you buy off a dealer in the republic.

That's a lot of cash, down the swanee.

Good for dealers up north though.
