Bought a few of these other day, cool gift idea or stocking filler for people, the chord zips up so you get less tangles and the sound quality is actually great. Comes in 8 colours. A similar set on amazon is nearly 50euro!!!!

    oops forgot link http://www.headphonehub.ie/category/zipper-earphones/

woops sorry your right, I meant 'less tangles', the bit from the zip to the ear bits still gets into tangles sometimes, but are easier to unwind as the chords are a material, not sticky plasticy chord.

it's too heavy from jogging or excercising, they're grand for sitting on train or walking though

I bought the DGA zipper earphones on amazon last year, not worth the money. But I see they're reduced to 9.99 now on that Irish site, might pick up a few for the kids, i find the best way to buy for kids and cousins etc. is to buy them all the same thing in dif colours so there is no fights over who got better prezzies - boys get blue, girls get pink, simple :P

pretty light I gotta say, not bad quality either, wondder how long they'll last though, go thru a pair of ear buds every few months

I got these and I see there are two separate versions. You can notice the difference from the earpiece. Also the price on one is marked down from €11.99 not €14.99. The ones I got were marked down from the latter and they actually don't zip as i'd expect. There is a little piece of plastic that seals the top and bottom of the zip. It kind of makes the zip idea redundant. I think the other version you can actually zip up and down to open the headphone wires or close them.

yeah that feature of the orange earphones is a bit pointless really isn't it? however i just modded mine with a hot knife and cut the piece of plastic, works great now. I thought the band was there to distribute the weight properly but after when i cut it, they still zip up nicely.

The black ones were a dif design and zipped up perfectly without a mod. bit confusing that, but I've emailed the site and gave out about the orange ones :)

the pink zip ones work perfectly. I got 3 sets for gifts, dont see any need for mod.

I think the pink ones are the same model as my black ones, so no need for mod. the zip shud be an open top zip

Modding the other design consists of just cutting thru a little piece of plastic at the top of the zip, not a big deal, can use a kitchen knife, (or maybe come to think of it just a wire clippers) it doesnt make any sense why the manufacturer put it there in the first place, it can be easily cut thru and the zip still works fine.

Oh really? Thats what I thought... that if I cut it then they wouldn't zip properly or there'd be a problem with it making it useless. Thanks gonna do that myself. Might shoot an email myself to let him know to advertise them properly.

Ordered a pair of the black ones, they arrived today. Down to €4.99 delivered now. The zip is nice, very neat. The sound quality is very poor though. It sounds very muffled, like listening to a low bitrate MP3.
