    Hi all,

I'm looking for anyone whose gone through the fiance(e) visa process for the USA.

At the moment I'm trying to get everything together before I contact the embassy and get an interview arranged.

The Garda certificate is doing my head in. I've given in all the information but when I ask do I get any notification they say they just tell the embassy. Is that it? Do I not get any kind of correspondence to say that its gone through? Do I have to assume that the embassy has it?
Any kind of information would be helpful.

    Thank you!

Your garda station is wrong, I got a CR-1 visa through the embassy and the garda certificate gets mailed to you and then you include it with the documents you submit to the embassy. Also, it's worth requesting that the garda list your date of birth in the form mm/dd/yyyy, the embassy questioned our date of birth because the US put the month first.

May I suggest joining the forum www.visajourney.com you will find an abundance of help there
