Hey Everyone i need some help with the whole area of custom fitting as i am totally disillusioned at this stage with the entire process !!!
I am a solid 14 handicapper who shoots in the low eighties on a regular basis and now want to try and push in to the seventies !!
I am playing golf 6 years and bought Ping i5 stiff shaft irons off the shelf as a beginner not realising at the time that they were not suited to my game. My irons are the weakest part of my game and i hit very few greens and then scramble like crazy for pars and bogies by uping and downing like a demon.
Is there anyone in Ireland that offers a golfer the chance to hit Mizuno, Taylormade, Titleist and callaway under one roof ( besides Foregolf ) ?? Or could someone reccomend either a fitter or a set of irons for me ???
Any assistance would be great at this stage.

Puregolf in Leopardstown fitted me, found them very good with a good variety of clubs to try.

When I was out in the Spawell prior to that, they let me try a variety of irons there too.

I'm sure your local pro will too.

Don't get too caught up on what people (myself included) say here, the only way to answer this is to try a variety of options. When people ask online what clubs they should buy, it's a bit like asking what size shoes should you wear.

If you are getting a custom fit make sure you know who and where the clubs are going to be built. No good getting a good custom fit if the clubs aren't going to be calibrated exactly to your specifications. That's what is so good about foregolf, they know what they are doing and you can see them working away in the workshop to exacting standards.

Hi, I wasnt sure which irons to buy so I went to McGuirks in Leopardstown. Cost 30 euro for a half an hour. They have a huge selection of clubs to try.I tried about 6 clubs with different shaft options. They recommended a stiff shaft for my swing speed and 2 degree upright and 0.5 inch longer as I'm tall. Was well worth the money.Went for JPX 800 in the end and won the club comp 6 weeks later:)
