So a couple of nights ago, My grandfather's TV and my parents TV lost RTE 1, but MY TV can still pick it up.

My grandfather and parents TV is both analogue ONLY
Mine has Soarview built in but I can still recieve RTE 1 on analogue

The 3 TV's are all hooked up to the same aerial on the roof of the house

I tried to re-tune the channel back in but no sucess.

RTE 2, TV3 and TG4 all come in no problem.
I am living 2 mins drive from Monaghan Town.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Same happened one of my tvs receiving from the Monaghan transmitter, but you may not be receiving from that site as you have TV3.

A manual retune of RTE1 sorted it in my case (the channel hadn't disappeared completely, just drifted a bit). As to the cause or why it only affected one tv, I do not know.

How are the three TVs conected to the aerial? Do you have two aerials for the Monaghan transmitter, VHF/UHF?

There is some maintenance work being carried out on the Monaghan transmitter this week, not sure if this is a contributory factor
    Service Notification:
    RTÉNL - Monaghan, Co. Monaghan

Due to essential maintenance to our Monaghan transmitter, reduced power working will be in place between 9am & 5pm on 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th November.

This essential work will affect VHF analogue TV & all analogue radio services from this transmitter.
RTÉNL apologise for any inconvenience caused by this necessary work.

Some type of splitter box was put in by some guy, it allows to have 4 TV cables to go into it. We have only got the one aerial which does VHF/UHF.

Hopefully it will come up soon.

Same happened again yesterday (I think). One of the tvs automatically fine tunes & I noticed the figures for this in the menu had changed. The other one required retuning.

There wasn't so much of a drift of frequency this time, with the picture just looking a bit 'washed out'.
