Managing/coaching a minor hurling team

Hi got offered a position last week as co-manager/coach to a minor hurling team. I have 3 yrs experience with young lads but this is a step up. Needless to say there wasn't too many candidates apart from myself as the team has slumped a bit in recent years.
Just wondering if anyone here does anything similar here and any advise you could pass on. I have very little coaching courses done and I'd imagine that I would need to work on this. Where could I get these details. PS in Clare area.
    Any help appreciated.

Have a few experienced mentors/selectors around you if you can. Minor is a tricky age with the Leaving Cert and lads developing a fondness for the drink.

I play Minor and going into my 2nd year so having good selectors and mentors is ideal to the success of the team and you will benefit from this way.
