Taking delivery of Share Certificates

    Hi all,

    I have an account with a broker here in Ireland and asked them how much it would cost to take delivery of my share certificates of shares I own outside of Ireland.

    They replied, telling me that this was not possible as they only hold them in nominee form.

    This is a little disturbing to me. Is this common practice?

    I realise the customer losses at MF Global were in margin accounts, but I am keen to secure proof of ownership should the world explode!

    Any comments welcome.
