I think youd be better off spending an extra tenner on a Walker elsewhere.

We got this for €50 in Argos Monaghan,
It does have a USB for recording. Tested and it works.
Free HDMI cable but you can use SCART of course.

You can't recieve BBC on the box at all.
Freezes while watching sometimes but not too bad.

Generic box, No Freeview style channel numbers, channels scattered everywhere!

The original €49.99 box was branded as a Bush, while this one is Alba. It does seem to be the same box, with the same B650 model number on the front.

The Bush (532/2783) was also on the UK site but has now disappeared from both sites.

the alba saorview set-top box which is advertised in the current argos catalogue priced at 49.99, is not for sale at that price! the local argos store told me "it was a mis-print" and the price is 70.00 euros! how can they get away with this?

Get away with what? You don't have to buy it, try somewhere else.
