    carcrash by devoresphotos, on Flickr

44 years ago my father survived this crash (barely) in the passenger seat and the driver walked away with cuts and bruises! (to put that in perspective... I'm only 41).

Now my father has always challenged the family to tell him what the make of the car was... sooo, thought I might ask here :)

    Anyone got a clue? :)

    DeV.

That crash happened the year before I was born & I'd hazard a guess that it was an MG 1100.

I had to google an image of the MG 1100. Looks a pretty damn close match to me!

Bumper looks to be a match. With the two vertical parts still visible on the crashed one. Lights line up. The angle of the grill on the crashed one looks about right. I'd say we have a winner!

I'm sure if he still has the brown tax book it could easily be put back on the road ;)

It was the optional overriders on the bumpers that save him if he was in an ordinary 1100 you would be around :D

Yeah, its really kinda spooky looking at it for me in fact :)

Cant wait for Sunday when I will nonchalantly mention the car type and it will drive him nuts to find out how I know (I dont drive at all you see, so my knowledge of anything non-super-car is almost nil. Super-cars, super-cars I like a lot :) )
