I decided to invest in a three pedals from Pro Guitar Shop.

I've sold a couple of things in the last couple of months and have a new job so I have some funds to play around with.

    All are by TC Electronic.

The first is the Polytune, which looks like the coolest pedal tuner on the market at the moment. I'd been meaning to invest in a serious tuner for a long time but they're hardly exciting so I always delayed it. This one at least looks quite impressive! I imagine it won't disappoint.

The second is the Flashback Delay. Not only does it have a wide variety of delay types and highly interactive controls, it also has a looper, which was really what sealed the deal for me.

The third and final pedal is the Hall of Fame reverb, which was added to the cart on more of whim than the others but if it's anything like what I've seen in the videos on youtube I'll be very satisfied. My ENGL doesn't have reverb so I've been longing for something like this for a long time.

The best part? I got $100 off the total and free shipping included.

The worst? I work in Spain so I have to wait until Christmas to use them (and all of my guitars)!

So tell me, does anyone else have any plans for the months ahead? Or any recent purchases that they want to share.

A Fullerton Red G&L ASAT is also on the radar at the moment. Just got to decide whether to go Bluesboy or Classic.

Hadn't bought anything for ages, and like buses then 3 in close succession.

Boss PS-6 Harmonist - Wanted one for years.. Expensive enough and really not that impressed with it :(
eBow - Really liking this.. Its nice to have something a bit different and something that requires a bit of practice and technique.
Akai E2 Headrush Looper/Delay - Got it cheap on Amazon secondhand for 65 quid.. Loving it.. Good fun to layer on lots of loops..

Buying a Fender SuperSonic 60 tomorrow.
Also on the list is a looper and an overdrive, haven't decided which to go for yet.

As well as that, I'm having my pups switched between my Strats.
Fat 50's in the nicer one and rails in the cheaper Jap Strat.
Looking forward to all of this. :)

The polytune is a seriously great pedal. They are beta testing v2.0 of the polytune software which includes drop tunings, if you send an email to minic@tcelectronic.com they will email you the beta installer.

The Flashback pedal looks great too, the audio tap seems like such a great idea.

Im currently gassing for an Axe FX 2. I'm on the waiting list and will have one available to me in three weeks, dont know if I can stretch the €2,300 right now though.

Guitar wise im currently gassing for this:

One of the new Jackson X series soloists. I got rid of all my shredder guitars years ago but I'm really feeling the itch to get one again. This one is neck thru with an EMG 81/85 and a OFR special for the bargain price of €550.

I picked up a set of those Fat 50s in the last Music Maker sale, beautiful pickups!

I'll be getting a Boss Line Selector soon, that'll be great. I'll use it to put my laptop in an effect loop, so I can build effect chains in Ableton Live and switch them on and off from my pedal board instead of a MIDI controller.

Also thinking about rearranging my pedal board somewhat and have a few pedals in the LS2's second loop, so I can 'turn on' a few effects at once. It'd be really handy but might be too particular a setup?

You can get programable boards for turning on/off multiple effects at once.
I know John Mayer uses one live, there's a video on his stage set up on YouTube if you do a search, I'd link it but I'm on my phone.

As for the Fat 50's, some you commented on one of my YouTube videos a while and said they sounded like ball bearings. I think that sums up the roundness to their tone alright. :D

I find myself torn on what to do on the G&L ASAT front. While I really want a Fullerton Red model with a belly cut, I'd have to wait 3 months for them to build it for me as nowhere has any like that in stock. On top of that, it would work out more expensive than some ASATs I've been looking at.

I'm not sure if I should just settle on another colour like CAR (which I do like), save myself some money and get it earlier, or if I should be a winner and just wait for what I want. Fiesta/Fullerton red is so much cooler than CAR after all.

Nice one on the recent purchases the polytune pedal is meant to be great and ive heard all good things about it since it came out.

Im currently thinking about buying the new IB modified G system which was released recently.I was planning on getting the G system to control my amp and and for the fantastic delays that TC make but in the past few weeks i am seriously close to pulling the trigger on this new version.Anyone have any experience with the G system here?

Damn you! I hadn't bought anything in a while either, but I was kind of half interested in a looper and didn't realise the Flashback had one until I read this post. So bought it on thomann, then I noticed that I was only 60 bucks short of free shipping so I threw in a Bug Muff for good measure.
Was gonna get the Polytune but I have the iPhone app and that does just fine for my needs.

So I went ahead with the SuperSonic and I just bought an MXR Custop Shop GT-OD.
    Still got gas though.

    High five, man.

I'm still working on the G&L ASAT. I think I've settled on a Fullerton Red Bluesboy with a rosewood board, which will contrast nicely with my baby blue Legacy with a maple board.

And when I say working on the G&L I mean I'm actually waiting for someone at PGS to email me back. I'm going to buy from them because they do free shipping from the States. But they're making it difficult. Who would have thought it would take them so long to allow me to give them my money. Is that not what they want? What has the world come to?

I always find this mad with shops.
Another one is when you ask if they can order something in for you, you're basically asking for a reason to hand them cash and they act like it's a nuisance. Mad stuff.
