transferring euro savings to sterling

    Hi,

I am considering transferring my euros to a uk sterling a/c as I am worried about the euro either being devalued or continuing to depreciate against the dollar/sterling. I know I would be in for an initial hit on the fx rate. From reading different forums and anecdotally I see alot of irish people have done this already.

Just wondering if anyone can advise of what are the pros and cons of doing this? will I lose out twice on the fx rate if the euro starts to recover ?

    thanks
