Slow matchmaking

    Is anyone else experiencing very slow matchmaking in mw3
    takes me like 5-10mins to find a game.
    heard it could have something to do with infinity ward region-locking the multiplayer

    Anyone else experiencing this

    Maybe not that many people are playin it? Matchmaking has never been perfect I suppose though. I do experience the same on PC.

    You on XBL or PSN?

    TBH the matchmaking has been working better for me then any other COD ever. Always below 50 ping with full bar connections and loads of Irish players found straight away and I have played 20 hours plus so far.

    I am in Kildare and I am using UPC on xbox live BTW.

    go to the multiplayer screen
    options
    theatre recording - change that to disable.

    That should put you into all Irish lobbies. I was having the same problem as you this morning,I just remembered to change it again there.

    Get the same always no games found!!!

    I actually was searching all modes last night and found mosh pit in advanced playlist to be the best to find games. there was around 750 in the playlist and it was finding games pretty quick had like 49 potential games found. the down side is it will be all objective game types... Try it out next time you can't find games.

    The weird thing is my brother is on Psn (im on xbox live) and he finds games no problem always 50 games when searching and can get connected to foreigners as well as irish its really frustrating when I pay for xbox live I can't find a ****in game he get psn for free and has an endless supply

    never experienced anything like this with black ops

    I think I've only played against Irish lads. On one hand that's good because it pretty much guarantees decent connections all round but on the other hand it can take ages to find a lobby or enough people to start a game. It's especially bad when I'm with a group of five mates and a handful of players will join our lobby and they end up leaving because it's taking too long to populate the rest of the empty slots.
    I don't understand why the matchmaking process doesn't take into account UK players. Back in MW2 I never had too much connectivity issues with UK players and since there's a massive pool of them, it never took long to start a game.

    no problems for me on PSN, even when playing with a full party. Pretty happy with it because sometimes MW2 was a joke when partied up.

    I should've mentioned that I'm on Xbox Live. Another issue is sometimes the invites to friends don't appear and are only in the inbox when their Xbox is restarted. Such an annoying glitch (do I call it that)? And it's not one person's problem, it has happened to everyone I know nearly.
