Its just disgusting when your walking out of JH and all you get is a big bang of peoples second hand smoke forced down your lungs. Its bad enough when one person is smoking but there does be loads of them! Are people actually allowed to smoke there?

Its their choice to give themselves cancer but they don't have to force it upon everyone else!

Smokers don't give a damn about anyone else.

They're outside, so yes it's allowed. Just breathe out when you walk passed them ;)

Ah it's disgraceful. We should march in protest :pac:

No but seriously, where else are they supposed to smoke? Imagine if you had a craving for something for an hour long lecture; take beer for example, you'd be sprinting to the SU five minutes before the lecture ended. If we make that addiction into something like chocolate, you wouldn't be able to get out of londis for the sheer amount of chocolate you bought in there.

Thankfully these addictions don't grab people quite that much, but apparently nicotine does. I don't smoke, but I know and feel sorry for some of the people who do.

Maybe they could have designated smoking areas. Just not at the doors where other people have no choice but to walk through their disgusting smoke!

Unfortunately people are addicted to Nicotine, but that's there fault they chose to smoke. If they really didn't want to then they should give it up. If that were a load of junkies sitting on the ground out there injecting themselves would you say but sure there addicted and where else can they do it.

We shouldn't have to suffer because of how stupid they are.

Oh cmon man, no. I have a friend who consistently says 'smokers are jokers' every time a mutual friend of ours goes off to smoke. These people made a bad mistake in their teens because they wanted to fit in with their friends. Now they're stuck with a dangerous, disgusting habit which limits them in certain areas (for example, some employers ask the question 'do you smoke' or 'are you a smoker'). Do you not feel sorry for them?

Yes I do feel sorry for them, but they made that stupid mistake, not me. Why should I be forced to share the dangers of second hand smoke?

And they are not stuck with it, they can, with a bit of work and effort, give them up.

I'd give up, if I thought I wouldn't turn into one of you.

What is he? Someone that actually gives a **** about everyone else?

Smoking is disgusting, people who smoke are disgusting, the smell of them and their car is disgusting.

People standing right at the doors blowing smoke in peoples faces are just assholes.

Some people smoke, some people don't. Just deal with it.
Personally I hold my breath when passing such areas.
And when walking through traffic, and when underwater(obviously) etc.

So quit your jibber-jabber and save the smoker slagging for somewhere else.

    Thread closed.
