gmail external pop3 problems

    im having trouble with my gmail account.

    i have a google apps/gmail account setup john@johnsmith.ie
    i have a pop3 account setup john@johnsmith.me
    i have my gmail setup to check the pop3. working perfect except...

    when i send an email from john@johnsmith.ie to john@johnsmith.me then gmail does not pick it up. it checks the external pop3 and removes the mail from the external pop3 as always ... but it doesnt show up in my gmail inbox.

    any suggestions? hope im explaining it ok.

    Long shot but check the spam folder.

    nothing in spam.
    no filters setup.
    it doesnt seem to be showing up anywhere in my gmail but gmail seems to be collecting them because it is deleting them from the pop3 as requested.
