    Hi,
Im looking to paint a slurry tanker MF red however i want a paint that is hard wearing and durable to the irish weather condition, And prefarable hard gloss finish. I have sprayed with the ordinary MF red paint that you get at any Agri shop, however the colour fades very fast. I am located in the midland region, Would anyone be able to point me to a paint supplier that will be able to supply me with such a paint at an affordable price.

    Thanks

Any decent large motor factor should be able to mix it for you. Beware, proper 2 Pack paint has Iso-cyanates in it and you must follow the safety instructions or you could end not being able to breathe for 3 weeks OR WORSE!!

My local place hands it over the counter with no data or COSSH sheets and I know someone who was hospitalised from not using a proper air fed mask. UK paint suppliers will only sell water based 2 pack to the public but it's nowhere near as good.

Personally I'd stick to Tractol enamel and the like. Red is a bugger for fading though.

I usually use Tractol paint, single pack, however the MF red is nice when first applied however the red gradually fades with time. So it would be nice to source paint that is able to stand up to the weather.

in that case use a coat of laquer. its cheap and will hold the color of the paint pigment like new.
