Yes, indeed! Thanks for pointing that out. I've edited the original post now to include the date.

    Hi Oisin,

There will be food, cabaret entertainment and then dancing.

If any attendee who has purchased a ticket has any dietary requirements then they can e-mail gayprom@belongto.org and we'll do our best to accommodate them.

    oh well

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Just two days to go!

We've confirmed appearances by Bunny, Dominic Hannigan TD, burlesque sensation Shani Williams, Jaime Nanci and many more...

Still some tickets left, don't miss out on what will be an amazing night for a very good cause!

Is touting for business allowed on boards.ie? I remember a man called xxxxx xxxxx (google the name to see just some of the offences for which he was imprisoned) :-) doing something similar, and asking members of another site to send him cash for a concert which he said was in aid of the ISPCC.

Considering that this event is well advertised elsewhere on the web and within the community, and that the posters are transparently from BelongTo and that no requests for sending money have been stated, I am satisfied this isn't touting, nor contra the boards.ie general charter. Any probs PM me or one of the other mods. :)

Also, if you have a problem with a post in future, use the 'report post' function rather than post on thread. Thanks.

I don't have problems with posts in general, and not with this one in specific. I wondered if boards policy is to allow organisations free space to advertise what appears to be a fund raiser for themselves. As I don't know where "within the community" is, and don't live full time in Ireland, I have no knowledge of this event other than appears here. It sounds like a wonderful event, and I wondered what the policy is for advertising ones business on boards.

Belong to is not a business - boards.ie doesn't allow commercial advertising. Each forum charter deals with whether free events or charity events or non profit making non commercial events are allowed promote themselves. This is not a business venture to generate profits. It is a community event. The mods here have no problem with belong to promoting it. Any problems then send any one of us a pm.

Now can we get back on topic.

Before getting back on topic, I think the Emerald Warriors weren't allowed promote their wares so is there a conflict there?

And really that guy's name should be edited out of the post - he's done the time and it's totally not on having his name on here (besides, if he's still the same he'd probably have a solicitor's letter out in the morning...)

Fair point - The mods will discuss and clarify -

This thread won't be discussing the issue further. Any off topic posts will be deleted.

Any problems or issues send a mod a pm
