    Hi :),
    I know that this question has been repeated many times , but can anyone recommend me a good orthodontist in Dublin area? I have received a few mix comments about the orthodontist from SD so I want to find somebody else. What is an average price for metal braces? Please PM me any recommendations and advise. Thanks a million!!!!

    Rather than open a new thread, I'm also looking for a recommended orthodontist in the D15 area for a 12 yr old with a 7mm overbite.

    Would anyone have any idea of how long it is likely to correct & what this is likily to cost ?

    Also, it was the HSE dentist who suggested this, yet I had him at my dentist just a few months ago & they didn't mention anything about an overbite - should I recheck with the private dentist via a phone call, visit or not bother? (in fact I specifically asked if he was likely to need braces as he had had a wonky tooth which seemed to have self corrected)

    Hi Little A

    I cant really say how long the treatment would take or cost but a general rule would be about 18-24 months and cost €3500-4000 approx

    See a specialist orthodontist and get an opinion and take it from there
