I picked up one of these recently and am having trouble setting it up in Ableton.

Yes, I have RTFM and ca't make head nor tail of it.

There are lots of tutorials and info about setting up looping functionality in ableton, but that's not what I'm after.

I just want to be able to control some guitar rig parameters and use it to trigger beats in Impulse (I currently use a keyboard controller for this and thought a foot controller would be a good idea)

I've fiddled around with the midi parameters to no end but cant set up any midi mapping. It doesnt seem to recognise the board at all.
I didnt think I needed to do any programming to get basic functionality.

    Anyone else using one?

I use an FCB1010 with Live to trigger clips and arm/disarm tracks, most of the time.

Out of the box, you need to set it up so that it's sending out MIDI CC messages, it's setup on the actual pedal you have to do first. There are a few guides to how to do this, here's the one I used. It takes a little while but it's straightforward. There's a program you can download where you set up all the buttons and pedals on your computer and then do a SysEx dump to the pedal, but you have to pay for the software.

I can get all the buttons to work but i haven't cracked getting the treadles to work yet. Not that I've tried, don't really need them at the moment.

Will give that a shot thanks.

I was hoping for a plug and play type scenario for basic functionality.
