24 Duracell batteries 9.99 woodies

Seems to be a fairly good price pre Xmas. Tubs of either AA or AAA. Had plenty by customer service desk in Kylemore yesterday.

Also even cheaper if used with voucher

Tesco sell them for €3.25

Edit: Oops. It's 12 batteries for €3.25 so 24 for €6.50

go to 2Euro shop and you'll get a pack (not sure how many, but somewhere around 10-12 batteries) for 1.50.. they are Hyundai or polaroid make..

Have made the mistake of buying cheap batteries many times but Duracell are defo worth the extra money. False economy buying the bargain ones honestly!!!

Any make of alkaline battery is useless in a digtal camera, rechargeables are the only way to go.

My camera (Fuji S5700) actually recommends rechargeables over alkalines.
However I am a bit disappointed with rechargeables - I find if not used fairly promptly that they have self-discharged by the time I need them. The Fuji recommends using the camera's built-in discharge function to bring rechargeables back to full functionality and yes I find this does help - but I always carry a set of decent brand (Duracell or EverReady) alkaline batteries "just in case". The supermarket own-brands are usually crap - so any time a decent deal comes up on GOOD brand alkalines I stock up.

In fairness i don't think regular Duracell batteries would last much long in a camera

Duracell (If memory serves) are about 2000 mAh rated. Maplin do 1500 mAh rated which aren't bad at all - and you can get 100 AA batteries in Maplin for 19 euro.

guess the price will be dependant on the type of Duracell battery also , i think there are 3 types

I always buy mine in bulk from ebay :

I have this thing called a lavnav, its great as a nightlight. However it only works right with a pair of Duracells. Won't work correctly using any of my fancy dan 1x00mha hybrios hence keeping eye out for them.

Ezze is in fact 12% more expensive after conversion but yes handy so long as you are in when the postie comes ;-)

I bought the 32 x AA batteries from Amazon recently. They were £9.50 at the time and I got the free postage as I ordered 3 lots. They have gone up a wee bit since though.

Good deals here for when they are normal prices.

However 24 here are stg7.49 plus stg3.50 for delivery but as you say, saves on a trip !!

EDIT - the price above is for Duracell PLUS so prob a better deal.

Min. spend of £25 will get you free delivery from Amazon and (I think) it's "preferred merchants"

These are back at £9.76 which should work out at less than €12 which is a decent price for 32 Duracell batteries which are the rolls royce of batteries imo

As previously stated the min. spend will have to be £25 to get the free super saver delivery option. These are sold by one of Amazon's "preferred partners" and as far as I know qualify for free deliver as outlined above.
