Server for new players?

    I just got my copy of minecraft and I am looking for a server to join, looking for one with other newbies like myself the one's I have seen can be a bit intimidating for first time players. Any tips on servers or a place to start looking would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Most decent servers should be plenty welcoming. The Boards.ie server is good, as is Tallon's, although the latter has been pretty quiet since the attack on it :(

    Tallon's is picking up again but might be having a map reset tonight :eek: Not good for us who have buildings on it but great time for a new face to join in :) Not sure what the heck is going to happen to the Boards server now, it was supposed to be backed up but the admins are away :o

    Any chance of a link to the server ip and name .
    I've been looking for a good irish server
