I am extremely limited for space, so looking to get a multi gym.
Any place, in the Dublin area (or delivers online) that are good to deal with?

Multi Gyms tend to be of poor quality unless you've a pretty hefty budget. Free weights are definately the way to go. If you don't have space for a squat rack or bench and weight set, why not go for Kettlebells?

These three kettlebells are on sale for only €95.

Their competition kettlebells are currently on sale at €2.50 per kilo. These are similar to the normal kettlebells except, regardless of the weight, they are all the same size and are colour coded.

There are kettlebell classes all over the place so you could go to a few of these to get the hang of them and then decide what weights you want to buy for home use.

If you decide to sell them on, they'll also be a lot easier to sell on than any multi-gym.

    +1

-Power rack w/ cable tower attachment
    -Ajustable bench
    -Bar and plates
    -maybe some DB handles

All your bases are covered there in a space the size of what, 60-80 square feet?

Cost about... 600-800 quid, can be sold for at least 50-75% of it's cost at any point, and should last for basically ever?

Here's a strength package with all of the above for £499.

Granted there is only 100kg worth of weights but it looks like a good deal to me :) I've been mulling over the idea of creating a home gym too recently - its harder not to justify it really!!

That's pretty much what I got a few months ago (except the dumbbell handles). I got this package with the 200lb Weight Stack replaced with a 235kg Olympic Weightset.

I'm of the firm belief that if you buy cheap, you buy twice so you might as well buy quality.

I was lucky as the equipment was £200 cheaper back then.

I'll probably get dumbbell handles next year and 4 extra 5kg plates for them.

The rest of my equipment is:
    • Gym Rings
    • Skipping Rope
    • Dip Belt
    • Tricep Rope

There's a review of my stuff here.

If ordering from PowerHouse Fitness, order through FatCheese and you'll get a 10% rebate. Delivery to Ireland was £42 for my equipment.

Yep and buy second hand now and it could actually increase in value. Plates are double the price I paid ~5 years ago. I have seen some great deals on adverts, I haven't the space though, I could have bought it and sold it on a month later for a nice profit.

I think people forget the resale value when trying to compare commercial gym vs home gym costs.

I was out with Mike in Irish Lifting yesterday and had a look at this stuff
All good quality gear and great value for money. Add one of these
then add weight as you need, build up dumbells or kettlebells as you go and you're not limited by a fixed stack.
