    like the title says,
my wife is a qualified care assistant (fetac level 5), but i cannot seem to find her equivalant job/qualification in australia.
does anyone know of any care asistants that went out to oz and got jobs doing similar work based on their qualifications here.
or does anyone know where she could get her qualification recognised or what its equivalant is in australia.

i have checked there and care assistants aren't on it. i have also checked http://www.ahpra.gov.au/ which would seem to be australias main registration site for anything health related, but it isn't showing up.
so iam just wondering is it recognised by a different job title or something and if it is how does she go about getting her qualifications recognised over there.

Have a look at this site. It might answer some questions. Aged care seems to be the biggest sector. Silverchain also might be of help...but I only know nurses that work for them.

Try AIN - assistants in nursing - that's the title that's used in QLD anyway.
