What if its a standard 1.4 petrol golf 2002 with no extras. this comes to around 150 euro on the revenue website.

Could they possibly sting me for 2-300 more or will it be +/- 50 euro???

If they ROS vrt calc has the exact model that your buying and you get a print out of the quote and your VRTing it within 30 days ( i think thats the period anyway) of the print out they have to charge you a maximum of the print out. I have dont it on several occasions where i go to the office (print out in back pocket) and they have quoted more. ive handed in the print out and they have always honoured the price on it. NB!! the last time i did this was about 3 or 4 years ago so its worth ringing one of the offices to confirm with them that its still the case.

Are you sayign your getting a VRT quote of €150 for the Golf? The minimum rate for any car is €280 , for a Band A car, which I doubt that golf falls in to.
