I've noticed he hasn't commentated on an Ireland game in a long time, I miss his commentary, Darragh Maloney and Ronnie Whelan are horrendous.

He had a problem with his ticker. Don't know when he's due back.

Yup, he recently had heart surgery, I'd imagine he's on extended leave.

Most of the time, watching a competitive Ireland game is the last thing I'd recommend to an Ireland fan coming back from major bypass surgery.

He had major heart operation during summer. Def miss him as we all associate him with Ireland games. Hope he is back for Euro 2012.
I think Darragh Maloney is a really good commentator too. An able back up
