Selling dried foods

    Hi there,

I have an idea and I'm just wondering what the deal is with selling dried foods in Ireland. How restrictive is it? Does it make a difference if the foods are grown by the seller or bought fresh on the retail/wholesale market?

The foods in question would be things like sundried tomatoes or chillies and stuff.

    All information greatly appreciated!

AFAIK, it doesn't matter where the products come from, what does matter is the environment in which the products are processed. You will need to get a HSE cert to prove that the kitchen/processing area where the foods are being dried are sanitary.
