Shooting on the midland lakes

    Its probably not cold enough yet but am just wondering if there are many duck on the inland lakes yet? I have a foreshore license as do a few friends and would love to head down and bag a goose or two before christmas :rolleyes: anyone doin any shootin down there on Lene or Sheelin ??

    I was on Lough ree last week, saw 3 duck in 2 hours, both over 200 yards out on the lake.

    Its too late to bag a goose. The goose season only lasts for the month of September. Would a few snipe do

    Only Goose on the Menu, bar one for Christmas

    I was on sheelin on saturday ree sunday and derravargh monday. fired 5 shots that will tell you the story, but ill tell you this the only way to find out is go out.:rolleyes:

    If you can get a sheltered cove with the wind in your face, between Carna and Coosan side might suit you ;)

    If you can get a boat you can access a lot more of the foreshore.
