I reckon a sub 1:30 marathon would be harder.....sorry couldnt resist

The easier one will be the half, so you should aim for the full. Much more chance of something going wrong in the full so do that.

Sub 1.30 is easier so i'm with Robin. Aim for the marathon to win the bet

Sub 1.30 is easier in my book.

A person aiming for a sub 3.10 marathon would need to be at the very least capable of a sub 90 half and then, have a very good marathon specific training programme and get things absolutely perfect on the day. I saw plenty of lads in our club who went sub 90 in the half not break 3.15 in DCM this year.

Are all the threads on ART going to be race walking ones these days?

a 3:10 marathon is slow for a race walker, maybe an average club walker ...

Nah, an average club walker should be much faster. Unless they're coming from a GAA background, and this is their first year walking...

Anto they are very similar goals to be honest. Id say sub 3.10 is slightly harder but its a toss up.

1.30 half is easier as the extra 1.40 for your 3.10 is fraught with increasing risk of exposure to variables....
    Dehydration
    Weather
    Boinking
    Crazy priests
    etc etc
