    Hi,
my 3 and a half toddler has yet another bad cold with a bit of temperature, just after having an ear infection 2 weeks ago.

Yes, he is going to Montessori and yes, I know it is probably normal but I just would like to be sure this is normal, and there is nothing else I can do to stop him getting so many colds.

Im just wondering where do you go to get a full check-up for a toddler? I don't want to bring him to GP, tbh, useless. I would like to know if he is overall healthy, or if he might need vitamins? I dont know. I have private health Insurance, but I don't know where to bring him?
In Spain (where I'm from) they have pediatricians, and this is where you bring your kid to get check ups... but here you bring them to a general practitioner?

Hi Beatrice...if you bring your child to the GP they can refer you to the appropriate specialist...if your GP is useless, change GP. You could also bring him to your local health centre where they can be seen by the public health nurse and reviewed by the doctor there (by appointment I think).

How long has your child been attending montessori? If they've started recently it would be fairly normal for them to pick up colds and bugs till their immune system builds up.

    Thanks Hannibal,

this is his second year in the Creche. Last year he got about 3 ear infections, colds and chicken pox, I know that is normal. But since this is his second year I was not expecting to be sick so often again? I know I might be worrying about nothing, but I just wanted a check-up that's all, I will check with the health Centre.
