Sony Ericsson Xperia ray

Hi Everyone,

My daughter is looking a new phone for Christmas and has identified the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray.

Reviews seem positive:

She wants it for music, social networking, email, good camera and video.

It seems to fit the bill, anything else out there she should consider? Budget is probably already at its limit.

Yeah, seen that, however that was for the 'play' not 'ray' model.

An excellent review of the Xperia ray on www.techradar.com/reviews.
The cameras amazing and with sony you will have more reliability than most of the others

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia and I would NOT recommend it..
Very slow, has to be charged daily and other reasons that I do not wish to say on a public forum..

An Xperia what? There is about 20 of them I'd say!

Xperia Ray is a good phone with a great camera! The Xperia range have come a long way in the last year or two. The Xperia Neo V is a nicer looking phone with a bigger screen but the camera is only 5mp compared to the 8mp of the Ray.

Not sure which one but its less than 6 months old... Maybe I am just one of the unlucky ones, but I am considering going back to my old Nokia... Never left me down!!!

I just personally would not recommend them...

Nokia have all but abandoned their own software and are using Windows Phone on their high end devices from now on.
Granted some people like Windows Phone 7 but I just couldnt get used to it

I really only want the phone for just general stuff...

era, will wait til after Christmas.. You never know what Santa may leave for me under the tree
