    So here it goes.

Something bad happened to me when I was 7 til I was about 9.

The person who did it went to the police and admitted what he did, everything.

I denied it. I was so young, I was so scared. He had threatened me so much that bad things would happen if I ever spoke of it.

No charges could be made because I denied it.

Now, I'm having flashbacks all the time, it's ruining my life :(

I regret it so much that I denied it, he should be in prison. What he did has affected my life, I feel like I can't move on.

Basically I want to know, if I go to the police now can they find him and press charges? i'm 19 now so it was about 9/10 years ago. Would it be too late?

I know his name and I could find out more information about him.

I don't even know why i'm writing this, I just have nobody else to talk to or ask?

I just want it to end, I want my life back :(

You'll get a better spread of replies here AnybodyThere. Hope it works out for you.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

You poor thing, a child should never have to go through something like that. The good news is that it is never too late to bring this monster to justice. Have you been in touch with www.oneinfour.ie? They will arm you with everything you need to set the wheels in motion. I wish you well, you're being very brave.
