    hey guys
a friend has asked me to change his antenna to a high gain 1 . he says he has bad coverage/signal. what should he look for when buyin 1?? he has sky but just wants to change antenna also. he is based just outside newry so anything we need to look for?? also is it just a straight swap from existing antenna ??? he also has 6 tv points in house but only a 4 way splitter so im assuming we can just change this to a bigger splitter?? sorry for silly questions but gladly hear your replies...

If you're talking about a terrestrial antenna, this is the wrong forum.

Maybe your friend already has a high gain aerial & is just in a weak signal area. Digital signals from UK & Irish terrestrial transmitters should be improved in the Newry area when analogue is switched off.

If you want definite opinions post pictures of the aerial installation, preferably in the appropriate forum.
