True for you, he didn't seem to have the auroa of more Derby and Arc winners. Good horse though.

I never rated workforce tbh, Yeah shoot me he won a derby and an arc, But come on who did he beat in that derby? Rewilding was the only horse in that race to come out and prove himself properly. His arc field was hardly full of superstars either.

He looked brilliant at times alright, As you say urban, A funny horse.

His derby will be remembered, not for the class of the field but by the margin of victory. Was it 9L? I can't remember...... :D

When we demand that the best 3 yearolds race on as 4 yearolds he's one to recall as a good example of how there can be a big downside for the owner.
They've basically lost a seasons stud fees and have seen their horses repuation and value diminished.

Obviously Prince Khalid's operation can take the hit but for the smaller owner/breeder it underlines how risky it is to go back for another season.

He might do well at Japan though. King's Best had the Derby winner there last year

Best place for him, the japanese appreciate midlle distance horses. He follows the likes of Tony Bin who made it in Japan and would have struggled here.

As someone said on another forum,Stoutey should retire too I think.

It's not so long ago that people said Cecil should retire.

I've been saying it for two years. What an abysmal two years he had. People noticed this year's but not last year's because of Workforce and Harbinger. Bar them it was dire.
