replacing dial on oil burner system

I have inherited a circa '95 oil burner. The dial does not correspond with the settings. It's basically a guessing game so easiest thing for me to do is leave at contant setting. However, this is daft as it is at same setting all year round despite variations in temp. How do i I go about fixing it? Is it a boiler service guy? Is it a plummer? Is it a small or big job? Thanks

It is an oil service guy, but getting a replacement knob wont be easy and its more likely you'll need a replacement thermostat.
