Is there something from the recent iOS 5 update that could be using my phone credit unknown to me? It seems to have run out quicker than normal this month and my usage is the same as always.

    Thanks

Not sure about iCloud but Photostream only uploads photos when connected to a wifi network

Ive disabled photostream, but iCloud is still there, but to be honest, it confuses me, i have no idea what it does other than backup my iphone! :o

I have most of the iCloud apps turned off, like Mail, Contacts etc, but i just noticed that Documents and Data was enabled and in that Use Mobile was enabled(when not connected to wi-fi, use mobile network to transfer documents and data), could that be the culprit?
What documents and data would it be transferring? Im clueless.as far as i know i dont knowingly transfer anything.

App data, such as a PDF file in GoodReader or a movie file in VLC, etc, in addition to any other data you create in the app. This would sync with iCloud automatically, you wouldn't have to do anything, just change or add something in an app.

I would recommend disabling "Use Mobile" in iCloud/Documents settings. This was most likely the cause of your data usage. Everyone should have this disabled unless they have a very large data plan.

It's in Settings > iCloud > Documents and Data.

Go to Settings-iCloud-Documents & Data. It will be set to ON, and within that Use Mobile will also be set to ON. Ive set Docs & Data to OFF completely.

If this carries on iCloud will be disabled completely too!
