Has anyone setup a slingbox with a UPC analogue box in Ireland?

Having a bit of trouble setting it up.

    What's the problem?
Router's not listed in Slingbox setup guide can be difficult to set up.

Yeah - It doesn't recognise the model number underneath the box. I've tried a few under Pace (similar numbers) and also NTL and UPC options. Think I'll update to the UPC Digital service in a few weeks and try that.

Try changing to firewall setting on your router to low.

I'm back! (Been away for a few weeks and ordered a new box from UPC - now have the digital one)

Anyhew - I'm still in the same boat - still not able to view anything. I've changed the router so that port forwarding is enabled on the ip address of the slingbox - for udp and tcp.

I have the cable coming from the wall going into the UPC box. From there I have a scart lead going into the tv and a coax out going into the slingbox.

There's an online help service on the sling website.

They'll connect to your pc and check the settings.

UPC dont have any Analog boxes...all boxes on cable and MMDS are digital.

The digital box will only allow 1 output at a time so if it's connected to you TV you will only get sound on your pc, you need to disconnect your upc box from your tv to get a picture on the pc

can you confirm is it a HD UPC box, if not your sling box should run ok unless the new non HD boxes can only output to 1 device at a time aswell, I had it running on my old non HD box without any issues.

The RF out which is on some (but not all) UPC digital boxes doesn't output the digital service - its just analogue pass through.

So I managed to get a bit of a result. I did an "aerial" scan and got 17 channels coming in. This gives me a basic remote and no guide but thats ok for what I want it for. It also means that I can be watching something on my tv and something different on the laptop.
