Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata) I'd say.

There are a number of them in the Phoenix Park ponds along with some American Wood duck. I've also seen them in the Blessington Basin pond.

I met a father and son in the Phoenix Park who had their own collection of native and non native ducks. They claimed to be responsible for releasing them around Dublin parks.

Nice to see them, but I personally don't agree with the introduction of non native species.

Mustn't be any buyers around this year for surplus stock.
