    Hi folks,

Just saw a deal advertised online with three.ie for the Samsung galaxy 10.1 tablet and MiFi for €39 per month.

    http://shop.three.ie/catalogue/pages/tablet-offer

No mention of the spec on the tablet - just wodering if you good experts have an opinion of the value of the deal. I currently have O2 mobile BB @ 19.99 per month and was thinking about this bundle (Tablet would make a nice christmas pressie for the wife!)

it's a 24 month contract, so if I discount the mobile BB, the tablet works out at €456 - the cheapest I've seen the tablet online is €469 (Komplett).

    Your thoughts?

The full tablet spec is listed on the Komplett site. Seems about average for any €400-500 tab.

The biggest issue I would see here is whether Three have a good signal in the areas you'll be using this, and if there is a good connection after that. If not, 24 months at 40 a month is a lot to pay for something that's no good to you. Buying the Galaxy Tab outright would probably be a better option, as a saving of €15 is simply not worth it.

Check out the Android forum for various tabs and their quality/value, but from looking into various reviews I think the Asus Transformer is one of the the best going. It's the one I've been thinking about.

also looking into this bundle for Christmas, but the outright one:

    http://shop.three.ie/catalogue/products/view/samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1-mifi-black/50358/T010019

any info about it would be nice.

Is it the 16GB or 32GB tablet?

Also, does it support skype video?

highly likely its 16gb and i dont see why skype wont work on it

Also dropping UPC for 3 would be downgrading quite significantly

I would stay away from three for every single one of their services. With their internet you will be charge terrible rates, The usage counter supplied with their modem is "not an actual usage counter" and does not supply real information. If you every have a problem it will not be resolved properly and their service bar one or two individuals is the worst i have every experienced.
