Personally I would go for a faster GPU - the 6950 instead of the 6850 should still fit in your €650 budget. As for the monitor, well first off its not a monitor - its a TV. It uses the same underlying technology but its designed for much longer viewing distances than monitors, and draws more power. Something like this would be better suited.

Actually ment to delete that tv from the list as I as messing about with the idea of havIng my Xbox on the same desk so something for both. but realise now that's just a waste of money and will never be used.

You can use a monitor for xboxs too - my housemate last year always did that. Just requires some speakers and a HDMI compatible monitor.

You should up the gfx to a 560ti or 6950, it'd make a huge difference. You'd only need a 500 watt psu. Any reason for the mAtx mobo? There are a few good asrock p67s out there for the same price.

From reviews and benchmarks I was going to go for a 6850 but as I am on a budget I reckon 160 max on a gpu I want this for battlefield so am I right in saying an oc 560 should be close to a ti.
Z68 for oc on the I5

P67 can overclock Aswell, the ati cards normally do better on fps games so maybe a 6870? Comes in around 150

Here is what i finally settled on , only problem is the case is now out of stock and the money has not cleared yet.

What will happen will they hold the order until it arrives in stock or should I contact them before the money clears to order a different case.

dont those gigibite boards have that bios loop errors? we had a thread about them just recently.

i would recoment just to get z68 with CS, then buy 6870, when you have a chance and spare 160 quid again, then put in one more 6870 and you will be sorted for very very long time.

6870 - best bang for your money.

Specs above , its a new build and basically I am getting no power. I have tested the PSU on another pc and its power on mine and no joy. As well as checking the 24 pin and the 4 pin connections I booted the other pc from my case so its not the buttons on the case.
Am I missing something like a power switch on the mobo or a safety device (wishful thinking).

This is a carbon copy of my problem I will try this next

when i built my pc i had same problem.

i used a small paper slip ( which came in with mobo ) to connect front panel. It was not booting at all...

so then i checked mobo manual and it had totally different way of connecting front panel. when i connect all like said in manual it booted up like a BOSS!
