Audi A4 cutting out

My car [Audi A4 2.0 petrol] developed a fault last night when the engine goes under 1000RPM it cuts out. Like stopping at junctions or even if I did a very slow gear change the engine would just cut out. But once it gets past 1000RPM its fine and runs.

I took the engine cover off yesterday to find 3 pipes all broke off from the air intake to the engine. It looks like a bodge job was done on a one pipe and has ****** the other two.

Does anyone know the pipe part numbers? I will need all three..

You need to know your engine code or check with audi against your reg for exact part numbers.
If nothing has changed with this botch, it might not be your problem.
I wouldnt be buying all that stuff either. Im sure a perfectly good repair could be done with various hose sizes and some thought.

The part number for the filter /valve thing which sits into the cam covers is wrote on it, you can see 068something in one of the photo's.

You might find it online. Can the other pipe(s) just be replaced with some silicon hose and new hoseclips??

Had to replace the breather tube on the same engine recently, set me back around €50. I'd replace the bleeder valve and try and patch the rest of it up with piping as new parts are going to be expensive.

I would also be worth your while to check the condition of the rest of the vacumn pipes, you can remove the expansion tank and check the pipes that are connected to the throttle body.

Is it me or is there no coolant in the expansion tank in those pictures?

Has the fuel filter on the car ever been replaced? I replaced it after the car was sluggish from idle and it definetly improved the situation.

Ill check the Coolant tonight but I just had it topped up last month. I never noticed if it was low.

I dont think the fuel filter has been changed Ill ask the next day Im at the dealer how much is one..

Just ordered all the parts for £130 from a Audi dealer, They want £150 a hour to do the work So Ill have a go at it myself. Whats the worst that could happen eh!
