This might be one for the guys, but it's probably more to do with a personailty type.

In short, I'm a 26yr old female and met this guy when i was out about 8 months ago. He asked me out but I wasnt ready to date - I'd recently split up from my ex and thought it wouldnt be fair. I should say that I'm hugely attracted to him, which clouds my judgement sometimes.

We've bumped into each other quite a few times thoughout the year, and become good friends in that we'll always chat when we see each other out, we've shared a few kisses, flirty moments and we text every now and then.

Outwardly, he is a very self-assured type of guy. Very confident, cocky and all about the bravado. Oddly, this attracts me to him. Don't ask me why.

Last night he text me saying 'I bet you read through our text conversations days afterwards don't you. hahaha.' - he was being his cocky old self here, but why on earth would he say that??? He knows it's not ture, but he always likes to make out I'm in love with him in a jokey way - is there any way I should assume this is because he wants me to think that way???

Ive spent enough time with this guy to realise he's actually quite sensitive, he's kind caring and would never go out of his way to hurt someone.

I just want to get my head around his bravado. Like, with men like him is there really any need to read into what he says? I don't think he actually says it for a reaction.

    Please help!!x

Im a big believer in actions.

So far he has asked you out, you said no, and he's still hanging around and texting you. I don't know what's confusing tbh. His actions say that he's interested.

I'm not a big fan of asking a guy out but he already asked you out so you've nothing to lose by asking him out. And dont do it over text or FB. Met him or if thats not possible call him. Good luck with it, tho I dont think you need it.:)

He's probably just having a bit of banter with you. Relax :)

He is only slagging you. Are you interested in this guy?

Theres always a hint of truth in every statement or lie! to me he sounds like hes saying those things to you because infact that is maybe a mirror reflection! as in he could be the one who reads your texts days after, maybe him making out your in love with him is once again a mirror reflection, and its him saying hes in love with you all the same time seeing what you say in response maybe hoping you say the same.

the bravado is in an insecurety! most men are!

    good luck OP
