i dont know what scene is like in other counties but here in cork
club players are treated like crap,
charleville won the county junior 3 weeks ago and following week they
had to put everything on the line when they next played kildorrery
in the north cork final, which they won, the following tuesday
night they had to play carrigaline in the u21 champ, they had 8 players who had played on the sunday, they asked for an extra day but were refused and
    lost game,
friday night kanturk won the county junior and had to travel
to play in waterville sunday, lost in extra time, what a disgrace,
then again the main thing is that once the people who go to games
from june to september are looked after thats all that counts

Same sort of thing happens in Kerry. 2/3 games played over the summer then some players could be out 4/5 weeks in a row

It's the same country wide. The only county I know off that continues with championship throughout the year this year was Donegal.

In Dublin Brigids have played 5 out of the last 6 weeks and are out again on Sunday in Leinster q/final.

Championships should be played throughout the summer once there is a 2 week break or more for any inter county lads.

yea it does happen all over the country, but mainly in stronger counties where the county team does well, then the club fixtures are postopned. This can cause problems when it comes to club provincial championships.

Pure greed! Club football brings in little or no revenue to county boards or Croke Park so County gets priority, which is wrong. 30 players in every county are wrapped in cotton wool from June to September in turn holding up thousands of Club players across the country. Something needs to be done but Croke Park are not interested.

In the Charleville v Kildorrey instance, it was Clyda Rovers that screwed a lot of that up by handing in a late appeal against the fact that they were thrown out of the competition for holding it up too long. The CB could have put the county final out one week to allow for the NC final to be played before the county final, instead of what happened.

In the case of Kanturk, it was because of Aidan Walsh that the game was not played until last Friday, it was Munster council that fixed the fixture - and why Waterville - was a joke to put it down there tbh!

They weren't able to use Dromids pitch so Waterville was the one that was picked

Same in Roscommon. Club player gets a very raw deal fixtures wise...

Look at the end of the day its all retoric that the club is important. What is important is that county teams are drawing crowds and television revenue is maximised. Club fixtures are an inconvenience that have to be played at other times in the year.
