I'm selling my super deluxe shotgun cleaning kit, the box is a lovely bit of walnut with a brass lock, The cleaning rod is a three bit one, two connections, brass attachments, wood is rose wood. Brass bronze bristle brush attachment, wooly mop etc. Set of "Turn screws", handles made from real eboney. Gunsmiths call their screw drivers turn screws, the correct phrase in shotgun circles. Normal screwdrivers have a angle coming down to the edge, which can dog end the head of a screw, on side by side guns etc. Turn screws are made with a hard right angle to help prevent this slippage, which I've found it does. You can make/ adjust a set of screw drivers to this fashion with a good set of files, its well worth the effort if your doing a lot of take downs on guns. Then theirs the two oil bottles, one square, one round, I think these are silver plated, not 100%, the inside of the walnut box is lined with a green felt with cut outs for each item in layed walnut again. Oh nearly forgot the solid brass jag.

Ok, I bought this when at a wedding in the uK, over ten years ago, its a quality reproduction, nearly exactly of cleaning kits over one hundred years old, and selling for massive bucks, the hand made reproductions sell for nice bread also, but about a tenth of the price.

I'm looking for e150.oo for this truly lovely cleaning kit, it's the type of thing folks fight about when you kick it. It's a bit of a crime that all these years I've mostly been using this amazing kit to clean a Mossberg pump action! I owned a Beretta DTL OU for a few years, missus used a Mirouko DTL gun, a score of different brands of semi. But truth be know I have nolonger any good reason to own this fabulous cleaning kit. Not for a Mossberg, which I'm not knocking by the way, to my mind they are the very best. (1)Top safety, (2) rear disconnector which you dont have to remove one hand from firing position to use, ie swopping loads quickly in the field, ie;- ejecting breach load for next load in magazine. (3) Twin bar skeleton shell lifter, you wont think this is a big invention until you get a jam in a closed lifter design! Believe me skeleton shell lifters are the only way to go. (4) You can double feed your Mossy magazine tube two rounds at a time, not so with other brands of repeater. Drop one round into the gap and push it forward with the second round. (5) The shucking noise of racking the slide settles most problems way ahead of time :D, and your hand is still on the grip, only Winchester pumps do this also. (6) You can reload a Mossy and fire without ever having to take your trigger finger away from where it needs to be, or more importantly leaving the breach empty, just keep topping up with your left hand. But sadly its a plane Jane Knock about 12 gauge, any old cleaning kit will suffice.

So PM me if you own a classy shotgun or two and want something very up market to use at cleaning time. Maybe a present for Xmas for another.

I'll email you pictures, or better still your lucky enough that God made you a Kerryman and you can just jump in your motor and check it out in person.

Thanks to all the lads that bought kit off me this week and last week, very grateful, I'm just clearing out stuff I no longer use/ need.

    :):):):):):):):)
