Fasting Blood Tests

Hi There I had to go for fasting blood tests for cholesterol and diabetes (suspected gallstones). I was told to fast over night before the test. Only after I left the surgery I remembered I ate a square from a yellow snack bar!!! I dont even know how it happened and why it went straight out of my head afterwards! I think…

Hi There

I had to go for fasting blood tests for cholesterol and diabetes (suspected gallstones). I was told to fast over night before the test. Only after I left the surgery I remembered I ate a square from a yellow snack bar!!! I dont even know how it happened and why it went straight out of my head afterwards! I think it was about an hour an a half before the test.

Will I need another test or will one square make too much of a difference to the test??

Not a big deal - tell your doctor when he discusses the results with you and he'll take it into consideration.
