Hi All, I came across a site called 'parkmagic.net'. Has any one heard of this company or is it a legitimate site. The company offers discount on Toll Tags and
    parking etc.
    All information welcome.

They've been operating in Limerick and Cork for a good few years offering a phone payment service for street parking (instead of parking discs). That side of things isn't really any cheaper than normal, just more convenient.

I don't have any experience with their toll tag and car park stuff.

tolltag.ie takes you to the Park Magic site. I've used them for the tolls and for parking at the airport - no problems, very efficient.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Think quickpark for Dublin airport goes through this. No issues when using it.

I have one of the tolltags. Works fine, but they charge a 10% surcharge on tolls.

    Hi Chimaera,:
This is what Park Magic states
"Certainly getting around at reasonable speed without using a toll road is pretty tricky! Of course, most of these roads will take cash but if you want to breeze on through the express lane then you need a toll tag. In the case of the M50, you can pay cash after you use it and pay 50% extra for the privelege unless you have a toll tag"

I use their parking in Cork at least three times a week & find them great - only issue I've had is that their office close at about 5pm, so if you find you need to top up after 5 you're stuck.

tolltag similar, use it on the M50 once a week & again no probs

I rarely use the M50, so I can't comment on that, but on the tolls I have used, there's a 10% surcharge added to the toll cost, which I can see on my account.

Here's the info from their site about the different charging structures they use: https://bookings.parkmagic.net/pmui/UI/mdl/displayInfo.aspx?show=abouttolltags&keepThis=true&

Its a tag, same as eflow. With eflow its €2 euro with tag €3 without (hence 50% more), no idea what Park Magics actual rate is though (and if you have copy and pasted from their site, they could do with a spell checker).

Have their tolltag, works fine, the 10% extra is the fee for the tag, you pay by use as there are no monthly or account fees on the one I got.

    Hi GiftGrub,
I am at a loss as to the prices for a van in the M50? You are correct about the 10% charge.

Make sure that you take everything into account when comparing tags, some companies for example charge you to replace tags when they are damaged or the battery is shagged, don't just look at the toll charges alone. Some of them charge a monthly rent for the tag, others make you buy the tag and then it's your problem when it stops working.

Parkmagic do the online booking for the car park in Bewleys near the airport.

    Hi coylemj,
I do not know how long the batteries last for, using ParkMagic. The tag is 5 euro's with ParkMagic when purchased on line. Possibly cost more if purchased else where.
    Thanking you for your response,

    Hi there.
Parkmagic is a real company all right (sometimes feels unreal but that is just battle fatigue from working hard in a small company.
We do the toll tags under the tolltag.ie brand, on-street parking in Cork and Limerick (Pay by phone), parking reservation service at Dublin airport (Quickpark and Bewleys) and Airport View in Cork Airport and we do city centre reserved parking in Q-Park car parks all over the country. We have a small team in Limerick and Dublin and we try hard. On the Tags you can get one with a 1.21 monthly fee or else one with no monthly feel and a 10% usage chage for low usage. Cheers Paul
