Buying table

    Hi,

    I am thinking of getting an 8ft table. I dont mind if its a pool table or a snooker table.

    My budget is 750 euro including delivery and all related charges.

    I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere that would have a decent table within my price range.

    Or, I was thinking of getting a second hand one.

    How much would it cost to transport and assemble a table around ireland.

    Or, would i be able to transport it myself. I dont mind assembling it and I have a people carrier with removable seats so i think i would be able to drive it if disassembled.

    Im not sure either, im thinking of buying a full size snooker table, 1000euro is my budget, that includes table and assembly. wonder is this possible at that price?

    for 1000 euro you'd def get one. I've seen them going cheaper than a grand!

    Hey OP. Here's one I saw on donedeal last week. You can ring the number and see if he still has it. It's an 8 x 4 championship snooker table including all bits and pieces for 600euros. You might be able to haggle on this further.

    Whereabouts in the country are you? Typically you're looking at about €250 - €300 to have a table reassembled once you get it home but you might be able to haggle.

    If you're in the east of the country I would recommend a guy called Andy Mc Evoy (Mc Evoy Snooker) to do this. He's based in Wicklow. Look him up online. Andy may also be worth a call regarding a second hand table if the one above does not appeal.

    To be honest, if I were you I would purchase a snooker table. You can play both snooker & pool on it. It's pretty crap trying to play snooker on a pool table as the pockets tend to be much bigger on a pool table.

    guy's just incase anyone is interested..i know of 12 full size tables of sale. the tables belonged to the belgard inn snooker club which closed down some time ago..if anyone is looking to buy a table..i may be able to work something out.
