    how much do the majority of guys here spend on their other halves birthday or xmas presant?
    my partner gave me a scarf for my birthday. now i wasnt checking the price or anything but i saw it in awear and it cost €25. i know the price doesn't matter but i bought him a phone for his birthday which cost €150. can i still give it to him now or am i mad in the head for spending this much? is it normal to get a token gift and am i just a big spender? been together yr and half

    Would depend on his specific set of circumstances but if he is not completely strapped for cash that seems pretty miserable

    yeah like it was thoughtful as i admired the scarf before. hmm...
    i also planned to spend €200 on his xmas gift but am now thinking should i..
    he wouldn't earn too much- approx 1500 per month and he pays 500 rent each month.

    When i was working full time I would have spent around €250 on my girlfriends presents. Now that im only working part time on a much reduced wage I would spend around €150.

    €25 is bit on the tight arse end of the scale unless its a student were talking about
