I got Irish citizenship approved last month, I sent out payments and documents the citizenship department requested, however nearly 3 weeks passed, I could not received their reply since I posted them out.

Anyone knows normally how long should I wait to get further reply regarding ceremony or something.

Your certificate of Irishness will be in the post within 3 years, when they can get eventually be bothered to get around to it.

You'll probably receive a smirking photo of Bertie Ahern saying 'thanks for contributing to my pension, you're now officially one of the eejits'.

On a serious note, best of luck with your new citizenship, three weeks is not too long to wait regarding the public sector here, maybe give them a call and a friendly prompt.

    If not why not ?
