Just wondering what min bandwidth / download speed do you need to watch HD movies with Apple TV?

Is there a min download speed I should have before considering buying and using an Apple TV?

I have an apple TV and I had about 5 megs from smart. When I would rent a film it could take up to an hour for it to buffer enough to play a HD movie.

I am now on UPC with 25 megs and it streams straight away when I download a HD film.

I have Vodafone 3M DSL and two Apple TVs. Works fine most of the time with SD but HD can be a bit of a 'mare...

What speed are you getting with vodafone?
What would i need for SD movies.

I am thinking about dropping sky movies from my monthly subscription and using Apple TV to watch the odd movie as i would only watch 1 or 2 a month at the minute.

    Wise or foolish decision?

I get about 2.2-2.4meg downstream with Vodafone. Have Sky Sports but never took the Movies package because of AppleTV. However I have US ITunes account so have a different choice on movies.
