Was out trailing today quad ran heavy ground next thing it wouldnt rev high in neutral or in gear. Strange rattle near the front of the pvt (automatic quad) system. Pulled the quad back to the road and it drove fine again then 5 mins later when I went into reverse it wouldn't rev out again, the rattle from the pvt towards the front of the quad is back again. Any ideas people?

sounds like issue with the clutch and drive belt system. when was the last time you serviced the clutch. they need to be looked at every now. sounds like the belts are not ramping up on the clutches. here is a video explaining how the wrk. they are fairly simple to service, but you do need a puller to remove the primary clutch

Yes I understand how the clutch works but Im really wondering what is the rattling noise from behind the primary clutch? The further forward clutch that is.

could be a broken spring, spider, weight ect.... you really need to remove the clutch and disassemble it. Its not really that hard ut you do need a puller to get it off the crank shaft. Just remember to mark the top plate, spider and everything else as they are balanced and need to go back together the same way.

Getting a clutch puller is the thing, have tried a few places now but no luck
