washing power without scent?

Not strictly an "applicance" question. Just wondering if anyone else has found a solution.......I don't mind a light natural scent e.g. lavender or something like that but the vast majority of washing powers and softening agents have a smell that makes me ill. Too strong and too chemical. The only acceptable one is ecover but its not cheap and seldom available in my local supermarket.

    Any advice?

I don't think it's a 'scent' as such, I'm very sensitive to artificial smells like the ones in air fresheners and spray-on furniture polish, I can sniff them miles away and they make me nauseous but I've never had a problem with washing powder. Have you tried non-bio powders?

I used to use this . It's unscented and it might look expensive but you actually use very little of it. I found it quite good for getting the laundry clean too.

I use one tablet of the Lidl two in one washing powder and fabric softener and I can't smell anything off my clothes, its the cheapest option for me. 36 washes for 3 euro

You can get big bags of Ecover stuff online, which makes it a good bit cheaper than the smaller boxes. I think Ecobaby above do them.
